“My Father,

Breathe life over me.  I lift to you my mind, my soul, my heart…  If you touch me, I will be whole.  If you speak to me, the lies whispered long by The Deceiver will all be swept away.

Father, breathe life over me.

I trust your might, your goodness, your love.  I am willing to stay in your presence.  I am willing to wait.

I know, Father, that in you there is transcendence.  My heart clings to the truth that you will never forsake me.

Breathe life over me, Abba.

Abundant life.

I am here, and I am willing to wait.

~Amen”

“He shall be like the light of the morning when the sun rises, a morning without clouds.”  2 Samuel 23:4

“(In prayer) we are not beggars on the one hand or spiritual customers on the other; we are God’s children, and we just stay before Him with our broken treasures, or our pain, and watch Him mend or heal in such a way that we understand Him better.” – Oswald Chambers

Any fool can believe the promise of God’s abundance when things are going well, but the Father is looking for those who will choose Him above the blessings He provides.

He is looking not for the multitude who follow Him because they have been healed, and had their bellies filled, but for those few who love Him enough to go after Him in the wilderness.

“Thus says the LORD: “I remember you, the kindness of your youth, the love of your betrothal, when you went after Me in the wilderness.”  Jeremiah 2:2
